Tip of the day

Tips on taking great wildlife photos:
1) Familiarize yourself with your gear. You'll want to be on a very fast shutter speed (1000th of a second or faster) to freeze everything in the frame. Set your auto focus to continuous or 'tracking' mode so as the subject moves your camera will refocus. Then set the camera for a faster shooting mode so you can take photos in a burst to make sure you get the perfect shot. A wide open aperture (2.8 or larger) will give your subject great separation from the background.
2) Find a subject you want to shoot, and figure out the type of photo you would like to take.
3) Be patient, it's not a quick 1-2 process, keep in mind when you see a great wildlife picture from a professional photographer they probably spent hours waiting for that shot and went through a couple gigs of memory card space.
4) Show it off to your friends (watermark it)!!
